The second generation of the GOM/GB FVCOM is modified based on the first generation domain by increasing the horizontal resolution to 300-500 m in Nantucket Sound and over Stellwagan Bank. The computational domain was also extended upstreamward to include the parts of the inner bays and estuaries. Horizontal resolution is 0.3-15 km (high resolution in Nantucket Sound and estuaries as well as on Georges Bank). There are 31 non-uniform sigma levels in the vertical. |
